One of my favourite things to do is photograph a family in their own home. I avoid the ‘studio’ setup as it seems so impersonal and clinical. A family is always more at ease in their own place with their own comfy couch or beautiful backyard. If a family is celebrating the birth of their newborn baby, for example, it is always so much better to photograph the baby and the family in the comfort of their own home.
